sustainability policy
We work sustainably by fulfilling the needs of our partners without compromising the ability of future generations to fulfil theirs.
HR&N follows three major sustainability principles:
EMPLOYEES
- Labour rights are respected, and benefits meet or exceed local and national regulations
- No social, gender or racial discrimination of any kind is practiced or supported
- Employees are involved in internal processes
- Employees receive training and capacity building
Environment
- We reduce energy consumption in our office through permanently switching off lights and machines whilst not in use
- We use webinars and virtual conferencing where appropriate to cut our travel footprint
- We rather travel by train than by car or plane, this is measured by DB Bahn (example Q1/19)
- Where possible we purchase greener office supplies and use local suppliers
- We are already a 95% paper-free office
Society
- HR&N achieves success by having an open, honest and loyal cooperation with business partners
- HR&N regularly donates money to SOS Children’s Villages, WWF and Doc Martin Andreas Trust
- HR&N encourages each employee to give back to society by enabling them to take a day out of the office annually to volunteer for a charity or social project
