description
Habitat Noosa Everglades Eco Camp is the gateway to Australia’s only Everglades, offering daily guided tours through this rare, pristine ecosystem with Everglades Eco Safaris. Surrounded by ancient rainforests, you can enjoy a peaceful and authentic Australian nature experience.
location
The Camp is located just about 25 minutes from the town of Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. It sits directly on the picturesque Lake Cootharaba, nestled within 65 hectares of national park landscape. It is also located at the entrance to the impressive Noosa Everglades, one of only two such systems in the world.
In and around the Camp
There’s something to suit every level of comfort, with a wide range of accommodation options available, from campsites (with and without electricity) to glamping tents. There are numerous water activities available, including stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, water skiing and kayaking, as well as an exciting disc golf course.
In the heart of the eco-camp, the Coothara BAR & Bistro has a menu inspired by fresh, regional produce. It is the only place in Australia located within a national park to have its own brewery. Eight craft beers are brewed on site and available exclusively there.
Habitat Noosa is home to a large population of eastern grey kangaroos, offering guests the unique opportunity to observe these magnificent Australian animals in their natural habitat. The surrounding Great Sandy National Park has extensive hiking trails where you can discover diverse wildlife and a rich natural and cultural history.
