Ayurvedic cuisine made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients forms an integral part of the holistic health concept at the Ayugiri Ayurveda Wellness Resort in Sigiriya. Each guest receives a diet plan drawn up by the Ayurveda doctor at the beginning of their stay, which is individually tailored to the three doshas. The Ayurvedic diet is designed to promote balance between the doshas in the body.
The chefs, affectionately known at the resort as ‘the ones with the golden hands’, are true masters of their craft. They use only the freshest organic products to create masterpieces that promote health and vitality. Each dish is prepared with care and embodies Ayurvedic principles to promote health and vitality.
The magic of the cuisine lies in its use of fresh, natural ingredients that are low in fat and calories. The menus offer an array of whole grains, vibrant fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, and low-fat dairy products. The absence of added salts, colours, flavours and preservatives ensures that every meal is as pure and healthy as possible.
