AYANA Komodo Waecicu Beach
East-Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia
Description
A luxury paradise in untouched nature on a tropical island – that is the AYANA Komodo. Located directly on the beach, you always have a perfect view of the glittering sea in front of the hotel. The warm hospitality invites you to stay and relax, as does the harmonious design. The resort is a picture-perfect idyll surrounded by impressive nature and situated directly on the sea, which is known worldwide for its unique biodiversity.
Location
The 5* resort, which is the only one in this location, is situated directly on Waecicu Beach on Flores Island, which is not far from Komodo National Park. Direct flights from Bali to Labuan Bajo take just under an hour and from Jakarta it is a two-hour flight. The transfer to the hotel is then only 10 minutes. Due to its location, the AYANA Komodo is ideally suited for various excursions into the unique, natural surroundings. Pink Beach, Padar Island and Komodo Island are just a selection of the famous places that can be reached from the hotel.
The resort is built in such a way that all rooms have an impressive view of the sea. The three different room categories leave nothing to be desired. Guests either have a magnificent sea view from their private balcony high above the islands, or they can enjoy the view of the landscape of the Labuan Bajo resort from a lower balcony.
All room categories include TV, direct dial telephone, AC, coffee and tea, mineral water, welcome fruit basket, fridge with minibar, kettle, private bathroom with separate rain shower and bathtub, hairdryer, typical Yukata bathrobe and slippers, safe and extra bed (on request).
38 Ocean View Rooms (43 sqm)

So the natural healing benefits of peaceful Waecicu Beach can be enjoyed from the safe comfort of your suite’s furnished balcony, with stunning views in all directions. The boundary between indoors and outdoors blurs seamlessly with floor-to-ceiling glass sliders that allow you to view the gorgeous blue vista even from the perfectly air-conditioned bedroom. After an eventful day, the luxurious marble bathroom invites you to take a relaxing bubble bath or a refreshing shower.
13 Ocean View Suites (86 sqm)

For a cool drink or a snack in between, the Mesa Bar & Lounge and the Pool Bar are ideal. The Naga Bar is not to be missed, as it floats above the turquoise water at the end of the hotel’s own pier. Matching fish and seafood can be enjoyed at KISIK. If you want to try something different, you can discover Japanese cuisine at HonZEN. Inspired by lush forests and natural hardwoods with comfortable seating, be sure to pack your beach bag for dinner at RINCA, as the restaurant has direct access to the resort’s white sand beach. To end the evening, but also at any other time of the day, the UNIQUE Rooftop Bar is perfect. From the roof of the resort, you have a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape and the sunset.
Komodo’s natural beauty is best explored by sea, while cruising aboard one of AYANA’s exclusive water vessels. There are 5 boats at Ayana Komodo for your choice and need. Go for a private event or a longer Tour on Ayana Lako di’a. Enjoy a sunset at Ayna Lako Sae Bar. Go on Glass bottom Boat to explore the beauty of the ocean or go for a short private ocean tour with Ayana Lako Cama or Ayna Lako Lelo. Each day can be customised with snorkelling, wildlife excursions and marine activities or small adventures like kayaking and SUP.
The special wildlife highlights are a bat tour, a dolphin safari, a visit at the komodo dragons and of course the stunning underwater world, which can be discovered while snorkelling and diving. Special places in the area include Komodo Island with the Komodo National Park, Pink Beach, Padar Island, Rangko Cave, Gili Lawa or Taka Makassar. The resort offers a variety of activities and tours itself and is also very happy to support its guests in fulfilling additional wishes.
Guests can find complete peace and relaxation not only in nature, but also in the middle of the resort. The AYANA Spa offers traditional Indonesian treatments for the face and the whole body at the highest standard. Here you can let yourself be spoilt and connect body and mind in harmony.
Since its opening in September 2018, AYANA Komodo Labuan Bajo has focused on paying attention to its beautiful surroundings of Flores Sea and launched its AYANA Cares commitment at the same time. This commitment is aimed at promoting education and conservation of the surrounding oceans, particularly the coral reefs that face numerous threats and challenges.
The key objectives of AYANA Cares are to raise awareness about the issues affecting the oceans and coral reefs and to encourage guests to actively participate in coral conservation programs. Visitors of all ages can engage in educational programs, hands-on activities like coral planting, and snorkeling and diving excursions to explore the stunning coral reefs and marine life surrounding the island. “At AYANA Komodo Waecicu Beach, we believe that everyone can play a part in helping to protect the environment,” said Lee Miles, the hotel’s in-house marine biologist. “Our resort is a hub for education and conservation, where guests can learn about the importance of coral reefs and participate in our coral conservation program. Our hope is to inspire a new generation of ocean conservationists.”
As of now, AYANA’s coral planting program has covered a total area of 950 square meters and includes 250 coral frames with over 2,500 planted corals. Additionally, its rope nurseries have 160 ropes containing over 1,600 coral fragments that are well on their way to growing into new colonies. AYANA’s commitment to coral conservation and restoration has resulted in a thriving and healthy marine ecosystem, providing a home to numerous species of fish and other marine life.
Komodo Conservation Fund
